London-based Winch Design is a creative and award-winning firm that has designed the interiors of some of the most stunning superyachts, private residences, and private jets in the world. They pride themselves on being able to deliver an unparalleled level of quality and customization that allows their clients to enjoy the world’s oceans and seaside destinations in unique and unforgettable ways. But, they also see how important it is to address the environmental challenge of overfishing facing the world’s oceans today.
And they’re using their trademark creativity to do something about it by partnering with the Blue Marine Foundation and organizing a 1,000-mile bike ride from London to Monaco to raise funds and awareness that they hope will help the Foundation protect up to 10% of the world’s oceans by 2020.
As a result, about 40 cyclists from the superyacht and ocean conservation worlds are currently training for the 10-day ride that starts at the Tower of London and ends at Prince Albert II’s Palace of Monaco in a bid to raise over $600,000 for the Blue Marine Foundation next month.
In fact, Prince Albert II feels so strongly about the cause that he will personally welcome the riders when they arrive at the Palace of Monaco the day before the Monaco Yacht Show kicks off.
