Warm People+Warm Beaches+Stunning Beauty=Mexico’s Baja California Sur

If you can't be close to water like this, I recomend staring at this photo for a while. It can cure what ills you.

My recent fact-finding, fun-having, friend-making, and expectation-exceding trip the magical Mexican beachfront paradise  at the tip of Mexico’s Baja California Sur has produced a warmth that goes way beyond the usual “hey, man, you got some sun” comments when my winter white skin returns to the tropics.

Cabo combines ultra lux (in the San Jose region) with unspoiled coastline (Cabo del Este) unlike any other place I’ve been.

How’ s that for a wicked long, “sans-punctuation” sentence! Anyhoo, I hope you’ll please bear with my lack of being able to write short, well-punctuated sentences, because, this 5-day trip the San Jose del Cabo region of Mexico’s Baja California has tuned into something is way, way more moving, gratitude-inducing, and gee-wiz can you believe this is happening than the average, fun-of-the-mill Swizzle boondoggles that I usually chronicle here on a semi-regular basis.

And the cool thing is since this trip was a sort-of-secret-ultra-lux-mission (that I’ll be explaining in much more detail in the days and weeks to come), I can’t really talk about too much. Except, he San Jose del Cabo region has shot to the top of my “Must-Not-Miss” list because:

It’s has tons of these kind Ritz Carlton Residences-type of spots.

And it has tons of these kind roads to the awesome, off-the-grid beach house I was lucky enough to be invited to.

And it has like infinity pools that go off into infinity….

As Vanilla Ice onece said “Lux Lux Baby.”

This amazing property in Palmilia had like…3 infinity pools, and three hot tubs…and ofcourse it’s own private putting green (wait till you see the drone at sunset footage we shot!)

And it has crazy amazeballs golf courses like this one

And lots of cool art

And oh yeah, did I mention infinity pools that go on into infinity?

And yes, all that “luxury” is cool and luxurious and ridiculous in fact but, the best thing about this trip was the amazing Mexican people I met. I’m serious. The warmth, hospitality, and genuine human connection my colleague John and I felt with the brother/sister team of Michelle and Esteban at the Cuvee properties is more than just an “amenity.”

Or Miguel at Pacifica….

Makes traveling to this wonderful country worth every penny. Stay tuned. This is just the beginning.
