365 days Of Kindness By Lucas Bacardi Shriftman

Caroline and a friend jokingly called me the “CEO of Love” a while back. And they probably came up with it because I have more love than money. Or because I care more about love than money. Or because I care more about people and relationships and friendships and loyalty and being there when people need me, and helping somebody who needs help more than money. So who knows, maybe I am the “CEO of Love.” But titles don’t really really matter anyway….

…Unless the title happens to be 365 Days Of Kindness, a book written an 11-year-old in Miami who was inspired to give. That 11-year-old is Lucas Bacardi Shriftman and he wrote 365 Days of Kindness (a compilation of quotes about kindness) after he read 365 Days of Wonder: Mr. Browne’s Precepts. His goal was to celebrate his sixth consecutive year as an advocate of Best Buddies and help raise money too!

Best Buddies is a nonprofit organization dedicated to establishing a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Over the past six years, I’ve raised more than $150,000. With this money, my school has been able to start a middle school club, which has spread awareness about Best Buddies and its mission.

The 2020 Best Buddies Walk for South Florida will be on Saturday, March 14 and I’m selling this book to raise money for the walk. The book is $30 and 100 percent of the proceeds of purchases will be going to Best Buddies. You can purchase the book through his Best Buddies page here.

Check out his fundraising page! The world can be harsh but there is lots of love and kindness too out there if you look!
